THE ATC WORKS WITH EMPLOYER PARTNERS AND EDUCATORS FROM ACROSS THE REGION TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS, DUAL- CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES AND PROFESSIONAL-BASED EXPERIENCES FOR OUR STUDENTS. WE WORK TO HELP STUDENTS DISCOVER AND SHOWCASE THEIR GIFTS AND PREPARE THEM TO ENTER THE WORKFORCE WITH THE SKILLS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS.
THE NELSON COUNTY ATC SERVES AS A TRAINING CENTER FOR STUDENTS FROM NELSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, THOMAS NELSON HIGH SCHOOL, BARDSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL AND LARUE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL.
At the Nelson County ATC we are preparing students for career experiences in four of Kentucky’s five high demand industry sectors. Over the next five years, Kentucky estimates there will be thousands of jobs across Advanced Manufacturing, IT, Construction and Transportation/Logistics. We continue to work with regional partners and partners across the Commonwealth to make sure our students are prepared to enter the workforce in these high demand industries.
